We are approaching another milestone in America’s history, America’s 250th anniversary. This celebration invites us to thank God for the extraordinary gift of religious freedom. Our Baptist forefathers contended for a nation where conscience answers to God alone. Their courage helped shape a republic where faith may be proclaimed openly, preached boldly, and lived without fear.
As followers of Jesus Christ, we cherish this liberty not merely as a constitutional right but as a stewardship from the Lord. Religious freedom protects the church’s mission and preserves the dignity of every person created in God’s image. As USA 250 approaches, may we recommit ourselves to defending this freedom, using it to proclaim Christ with conviction, compassion, and unwavering gratitude.
