Next week, August 30, we will begin our FBC 101 classes at 9 AM in classroom E102. This class is designed to help attendees understand our beliefs, policies, and procedures. It is a four-week class, meeting Sunday mornings at 9 AM, during Sunday School. This will help you formulate whether or not you want to become a member of our church.

September we start our new church calendar year. Our new committee and team members will join those already serving and help with the functions of the church. I appreciate everyone who has answered the call to serve and pray for you.

In my daily devotion, Charles Spurgeon spoke on the mercy of God. Jeremiah rejoices that God’s mercies are new every day. Jeremiah 3:22-23 “Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not, they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.” Spurgeon used several words to describe God’s mercy. Here are five for you to contemplate: tender mercies, great mercies, undeserved mercies, rich mercies, unfailing mercies.
