Welcome To First Baptist Church of Lamar

Dear First Family and Friends,

We are already in the month of May and with it comes a variety of extraordinary events. I want to highlight a few of those events.

May 1 is the National Day of Prayer. The Ministerial Alliance is planning this event, and details will be posted on our website and announced in our Worship Guide.

Sunday, May 4, is our Senior Adult Banquet. Vickie is planning a great meal.  For our afternoon entertainment ,Gary Swearengin will be sharing “Old Favorite” songs. You will not want to miss this opportunity to hear him sing.

Sunday, May 11 is our annual Baby Dedication and Mother’s Day. This is a special day in the life of First Baptist.

Sunday, May 18 is Lamar High School graduation ceremony. That day we will dismiss Sunday School. We will begin the celebration with breakfast in the Fellowship Hall. We will honor our graduates during our 10:15 worship hour and Chris will share a challenge for all of us.

As you can see there are several events for us to share life together. Looking forward to seeing you this month.
